If you are on the fence about coming out to see the band, they are playing at the I-House this Sunday at 8pm (it's a free show, and preview of the live act at N-Street.

N Street Music will host a benefit house concert for the children of Haiti on March 31st, 2012. This house concert features a live band set, DJ set, silent auction and Haitian art sale.  Zanmi Lakay is a grass-roots group dedicated to improving quality of life for current and former street children in Haiti.  The organization provides educational and economic opportunities as well as resources that aid these children while they are homeless and transitioning off the streets.

The show features rising Caribbean star Rosemond Jolissaint aka T-Rosemond and his live band Ital Souls.  Jolissaint grew up in Cap Hatian and began singing in the streets as he was inspired to entertain the homeless children.  His music resonated with the people’s struggle and they voted him champion of Haiti’s first Digicel Rising Stars contest.  T-Rosemond is currently living northern CA, yet maintains his resolve to aid the people of Haiti. He is quickly becoming widely known as a world-class singer with a beautiful voice. The Ital Souls band performs original songs in Haitian Kreyol and English as well as roots Reggae and the occasional contemporary pop tune. The evening will feature Davis native Joe Wisgirda “Joe Daddy”, a diversely talented producer and sound engineer and DJ Wokstar from Sacramento dubbed “the alchemist of reggae dancehall”.
