InGeneration I, Fire-type Pokmon cannot get inflicted by the burn status condition by Fire-type moves. In Generation II, Fire-type Pokmon cannot get burned by Fire-type moves, but can get burned by the Normal-type move Tri Attack. Starting in Generation III, Fire-type Pokmon are completely immune to getting burned by any means. Fire-type Pokmon are also immune to the sea of fire caused by Grass Pledge and Fire Pledge, both introduced in Generation V.
During harsh sunlight (introduced in Generation II) or extremely harsh sunlight (introduced in Pokmon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire), the power of Fire-type moves is increased by 50%. During rain (introduced in Generation II), the power of Fire-type moves is decreased by 50%. During heavy rain (introduced in Pokmon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire), all Fire-type moves will fail. When the move Water Sport (introduced in Generation III) is in effect, the power of Fire-type moves is decreased by 67%.
If a Pokmon affected by the move Powder (introduced in Generation VI) attempts to use a Fire-type move, they take damage equal to 25% of their maximum HP and cannot execute the move (PP is still consumed).
As of Generation IX, 87 Pokmon or 8.49% of all Pokmon are Fire-type (counting those that are Fire-type in at least one of their forms, including Primal Reversion and regional forms), causing it to tie with Poison as the 8th most common type among Pokmon after Bug and before Dark and Fighting.
As of Generation IX, there are 49 Fire-type moves, which makes up 5.24% of all moves (excluding those that are Fire-type only under certain circumstances), making it the 7th most common type among moves, after Electric and before Steel.
A Pokmon with Protean or Libero will become a Fire-type Pokmon if it uses a Fire-type move. A Pokmon with Color Change, Imposter, Forecast, RKS System, or Multitype will become a Fire-type Pokmon if (respectively) it is hit with a Fire-type move, is sent out against a Fire-type opponent, if the weather is sunny, if it is holding a Fire Memory, or if it is holding a Flame Plate or Firium Z.
Similar to the games, Fire-type Pokmon in the TCG are generally weak to Water with no resistances. Fire-type Pokmon are strong against Grass and Metal Pokmon, whilst some Colorless Pokmon can resist this type.
I'm using the vba on a pc playing Pokemon fire red after I defeated the elite four prof oak appeared awarded me and the game credits showed up and it tells me it's the end, how do I get to cerulean cave if the game will restart after I beat the elite four?
Please do not use this box to ask a question, it will be rejected - this box is for answers ONLY. If you want to ask a question for this game, please use the ask a question box which is above on the right.
After defeating elite 4 & your Rival, credits are shown
And then The End is shown, and there is black screen.and you cannot play anymore, right??
So listen,do not panic.
Then you must restart the game.
As you restart the game,it will show Pallet Town.
Then suddenly prof oak will come and take you to
His lab and there you will meet with your Rival again and now oak will give you the National Pokedex.
Yet if you have problem doing this, then add me as your friend and sent me your save file as an attachment with an email to my email id :-
[email protected].
I will personally check yours save file ,if it is ok or not.
First step,go to options menu
Second step,go to emulator
Third step, after you open the emulator find the save type
Fourth,If you save type is Flash 64k change it with save type flash 128k.After that check it work.If work you game just save automatic and you can go to Cerulean Cave. But,after you change the save type you must play a new game,If you are struggling with an elite and you win save you game at the game not at the save menu. You must save you game after defeat any of the elite 4.Then wait for the ending story to finish, then you can continue the game.
Okay, I had the same problem but figured out how to fix it. You have to go to Options>Emulator>Save Type? Flash 128. Then load your game using F1 and you should be able to save inside the game. Then, when you finish watching the credits, you can click continue. If you saved your game using F1 after you went into Gary's room in the Elite Four, then you're screwed. You have no way to saved after you go into that room. Hoped it helped.

Fire-type moves are based on attacks of fire itself, and most of them can leave the status Burn. Fire types are also immune to being Burned, regardless of the type of move used that would have inflicted a Burn.
Fire Pokmon have notably fewer species compared to the other Starter types, due to a lack of natural phenomena that can be described as fire - the Slugma line, Numel line, Magmar line, Torkoal, Volcarona and Volcanion are the closest representation. Some Fire-type species are based on land animals known for their predatory instincts, such as Pyroar, Arcanine and Heatmor. The Vulpix and Fennekin lines are both based on Japanese folklore linking species of fox with fire, while curiously, most generations of Fire-type starter, as well as the Ponyta, Houndour and Pansear lines, are all based on animals from the Chinese zodiac. However, there are a few Fire-type Pokmon that are based on inanimate objects, such as Rotom's Heat form and the Litwick line.
Famous Fire-type Pokmon Trainers include Blaine, the seventh Kanto Gym Leader; Flannery, the fourth Hoenn Gym Leader; Flint, the third member of the Sinnoh Pokmon League; Chili, one of the first three Gym Leaders of Striaton City in Unova; Malva, a member of the Kalos Pokmon League; Kiawe, an Akala Island Trial Captain in Alola; Kabu, the third Gym Leader in Galar; Mela the boss of Team Star's Fire crew, the Schedar Squad; and Crispin, a member of BB League Elite Four.
When you beat Cinnabar Island's Gym leader Blaine, you will be approached by Bill, who will ask you if you want to go with him to the Sevii Islands. I dunno if most people know this, but you can refuse to do this now. Bill will continue to stay waiting for you in the Cinnabar Island's Pokemon Center. Whether you want to do this now, or after you beat the Elite 4 the results will be the same.
Bill will take you to meet Celio who is attempting to initiate connection between the Sevii Island's computers and the Kanto region (the place you came from). While the guys chit-chat and work together, you will be asked to take a METEORITE to the Game Corner's Owner on Island Two. Bill will give you his Tri-pass so that you can board the ferry by the dock outside.
When you arrive on Two Island's Game Corner, the Owner will tell you that his daughter Lostelle is lost. You must go to Three Island to find her. Go back to the ferry to go to Three Island. Go north then go west, you need to pass a series of grassy areas, pass the Bond Bridge, and pass the beach to reach the Berry Forest.
You need to surf toward the left in the forest to find the place where Lostelle is, you need to battle a Level 30 Hypno. When you do, Lostelle and dad will be delighted, and you can now give the METEORITE to her father. He will give you a Moonstone in return.
Now your job here is done for now. Next thing to do is go back to One Island and Bill will bring you back to Cinnabar. He will also tell you, you can go back to the Sevii Islands anytime you need to by going to Vermilion City's port.
Next time you go to Island One, Celio will tell you he needs the gemstones to link to faraway regions. He means the Hoenn region into Lanette's computer. You need to get out of the Poke Center and walk towards the EAST and surf to the NORTH. Keep going on Kindle Road battling all trainers and over-coming obstacles.
You will need a Pokemon that knows STRENGTH and ROCK SMASH. To get HM Rock Smash go to the hot springs (its a cave north of Kindle Road where you heal your Pokemon), there is a man there who will give you HM Rock Smash. Get out and go NORTH once more, surf and you will arrive in Mount Ember. A bit to the right you will see that Team Rocket has punched a hole through the wall of the cave. In their conversation you manage to capture the first PASSWORD to their hideout: "GOLDEEN need log."
