Hello Everyone,

I know it has been a long time, but for anyone who is interested, I have released a new version of MyTunes Pro to the Google Play store. This is version 3.0 of the application, and it is a complete re-write of the original MyTunes Music Player, updated for modern Android devices. Also, note that I am releasing the "Pro" version of the application (which was previously ad supported), completely free and without ads. For more information, see the following links:

Feel free to contact me with any feedback you may have.

Thanks,
Mark R. (whitestarlogic)

This news made my day! I was a regular user of the Pro version of MyTunes before it totally dropped out of sight. I've downloaded the new app (AirTunes) from Google Play and it's like having an old friend back. I've already given you a glowing 5-star review this morning.

Whatever you do, don't change the "simple overlap" feature. My other favorite mobile app for music is MediaMonkey but they do the feature more as a crossfade and, while they do it better than most, about 60% of the time the new song makes audible adjustments as it starts and it spoils the experience. I much prefer the "simple overlap" you offer, as it sounds more like what I'd hear on the radio - very natural to my ears.

Looks like your http://mytunespro.whitestarlogic.com/ site is still under construction? I couldn't get the link to work. I was wondering if you plan to add support for Google casting. I had several devices in my house and would love to be able to stream AirTunes throughout. Hope you're at least considering it!

Thanks!
David

Thanks for the encouraging words. As you've discovered, the app has been renamed "AirTunes". I was told that the similarity of "MyTunes" to other commercial apps (like iTunes) was causing the app to be excluded from searches, so I decided to rename it. The supporting web pages can be found at http://airtunes.whitestarlogic.com, although there's not a lot of content there yet.
