I discard 3 cards and keep my max which is 4. The top of my discards
is Pack of Rat Things

The Mystic, though feeling a little better, still shudders in the
presence of the hideous Orne.
So she is really alarmed when Orne starts and peers into the shadows.
But soon he smiles his raptors smile and the Mystic feels confused.
What could please him??

What appears is not what she expected, but a charming gentleman
dressed in the rather affected beret and cravat of an artist, but
bearing a rather disturbing and otherworldly aura. The worst thing
about him is the cravat pin in the shape of an odd sign (rather like a
twisted coat-hanger she snickers rather hysterically to herself) he is
wearing.

He greats them both in flawless French and introduces himself to the
Mystic.
"Madame, I am please to meet you, my name is Robert Chambers"

I play Ally Robert W. Chambers Steadfast Author & Artist, Knows
English and French. Value 1

Aaron We usually keep the same turn order once established so it would
be Roberts turn.

I have 8 cards in my hand, I will discard 3, keeping my maximum of 5, and draw back up to 13.The top of my discard pile is a Formless Spawn.

The youth, Lovecraft and Gomes pause in the light. Even in the clear light of day the youth feels a cold shudder.  At first he thinks it must the unsettling presence of Gomes, but then no, it feels more distant, as if events are taking place farther away.

I play the Event Portophobia on Aaron.

I had 6 cards, discarded 2 and drew back up to my hand size of 12. Top
of my discard pile is Nikola Tesla.

The ghoul and Pickman study the shotgun excitedly. The two fight over
it briefly, but Pickman ends up keeping it. Tesla, in order to make
sense of things, moves towards Birch since he seems to be the most
"normal" of the group. Birch doesn't have much to say, however.
Presently another man steps out of the shadows and speaks to Tesla.

"Best to keep yer distance from them things," the man says. "No good
comes from them, I can tell ya."

As the three companions are preparing to walk away from the library, the quick-eyed youth spies a fourth figure leaving, more conventionally through the front door.  With furtive glance to both sides the newcomer attempts to slip unnoticed into the street, but without success.

"Hey, now who you figure that is, now?" the youth wonders aloud.
"Eh, where? - wait!" Lovecraft calls.  "Professor Angell - is that you?"

So so so so sorry. I completely forgot it was my turn. :(

Quick one for me. I'm playing the event Hydrophilia (which I should've
played last turn!!!). I cannot have phobias played on me when the
person playing it is at a water location. I'll update the Log ASAP!

The quiet flight has soothed the Mystic's nerves, that and the
charming company of Chambers, who was willing to have a very
interesting discussion about English Ley lines as they floated over
the countryside.

Soon they reach their destination, the Aerodrome near London and speed
through the city to what Chambers calls, "That wonderful old pile",
the British Museum. Oddly, the sight of the building which holds so
many of the worlds treasures does reassure the Mystic and she feels a
little better.

As the strange light breaks suddenly, a gaunt figure is revealed in the retreating shadows.

Professor Angell recognizes him at once.  "Dr. Allen.  Can't say as I'm surprised.  When I saw Gomes here I quite imagined you would not be far behind."

Turning to the youth, Angell passes the youth a large wrapped bundle.  "Hold on to this for me, lad."  A corner of the wrapping cloth falls a way and the youth glimpses the corner of a heavy tome."

Dr. Allen and Gomes approach menancingly towards Professor Angell.  "I'm sure we are all quite interested in what you have there, my good professor," Dr. Allen hisses.  "Why dont' we all have a look, eh?"

"I strongly suggest you two remain exactly where you are."  Lovecraft raises the rifle and the two figures halt.

The dawn breaks fully on the four men staring intently at each other in the street.  But none of them notice that the youth has cracked open the book ever so slightly...

Ah, guys, I hate to be a pain, but we need to review the turn order, I
know we're all busy, but let's agree to this before a problem occurs,
ok ?

The original turn order, based on lowest sanity was Aaron, then Carol
then Robert.

On the second round it was adjusted for lowest sanity to Carol, then
Robert, then Aaron. I believe we agreed as we've always played it
that the turn order does not change, once established, but only the
starting person and the sequence is adjusted based on that as above.

So what this means, unless I've missed something, and I'm more
clueless than usual, lol, is that I go after Aaron and then Robert
goes after me, and then Aaron goes after Robert and then it's back to
me

Chambers leads the group through the Museums vast entry way, to a
quiet corner. There they see a dignified man of rather old-fashioned
dress who is surveying the crowd with a quiet dreamy look on his
face. Chambers walks up to the man and bows, but the stranger waves a
hand and shakes his head. "No need for that, dear Robert, in the
fight for the light, we are brothers and equals" Chambers looks very
gratified by the compliment and turns, "My friends may I introduce my
dear friend and collegue, Lord Edward Dunsany, who has kindly agreed
to help us." The Mystic is impressed and turns to Orne, but the
sinister Orne is smiling a quiet, inward smile. The Mystic is very
confused

The group has waited for awhile in the museum, but no longer.  With a smile, Lord Dunsany, nods to a tall young man making his way through the crowds.  He is a prime example of the British Military, tall, fit, and with the blush a health on his handsome face.  Dunsany introduces him,"This is my young friend Capt. Edward Norrys, who's agreed to help us in our endeavors."  They shake hands all round, but the Mystic is a bit taken back by Orne's reaction.  "My God" she thinks, "did Orne just lick his lips as though gazing on a fine steak dinner??"  The Mystic shudders.

"I strongly suggest you two remain exactly where you are."  Lovecraft raises the rifle and the two figures halt.

The dawn breaks fully on the four men staring intently at each other in the street.  But none of them notice that the youth has cracked open the book ever so slightly...

With a shriek the youth drops the book on the ground, staggering backward and falling into the dust.  His mouth continues to move as if he is trying to form words, but no sounds emerge from his quivering lips.

"Ha!" laughs Allen.  "The whelp got a good smacking - putting his nose where it doesn't belong."

Angell works quickly.  "Lovecraft, take the boy.  You two - In th car."  Angell swoops up the book as Lovecraft lays the boy in the back seat.

"I know a place we can take him, but I'm not leaving any of you behind."

And with that, Angell pulls his car way into the growing light.
