I am able to playback a recording on my Android phone. I get audio and video, but I am not able to pause or control the video being displayed. I'm guessing I need the VLC remote control interface running on tcp port 16547. How do I do this?

I get the following error message on my phone when video play back starts:
connection to <my_ip>:16547 failed

I've attached the vlc.out and mdd.log files.

Any hints would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Geoff

Your vlc log shows that vlc can't find/load vlc's oldrc interface that MythDroid uses. I'm not sure off the top of my head whether it's a compile time option?

Pausing won't work unless you're on Android 3.0 or later I'm afraid.

Im running Android 2.3.7 (CM7) and Pause and Seek work OK in both
videos and recordings.
I stream in mp4 format, and have removed oldrc from the stream command
in mdd.conf, and it streams OK ;-)
I remove it, as I was also getting errors, and it seemed to work...
I am using mythdroid 0.5.3 (trunk).

Hope this helps.
