I've just install mythdroid and mdd. I'm running the myth trunk.

When I start mythdroid I just get a black screen. I have manually
configured my frontendends and backends from the setting menus.

When I pick remote from the android menu button I do get the nav
remote, and eventually the TV remote when I play a recording.

However, I never get the main menu that selects other menus including
those that get info back from myth or stream recordings.

I can see perl running mdd, but nothing shows in the mdd.log.

MythDroid hasn't been tested with MythTV trunk (until now!).

It would be useful if you could install MythDroid trunk, try again and then send us the device log (logcat).

You can find log viewing apps on the Market or use DDMS from the SDK.

Thanks,

I would be glad to try. Is there a build of the mythdroid trunk
available? Failing that I would need more detailed instructions on how
to build it.

There are no binaries for trunk, so you'll need:

Eclipse (http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/eclipse-ide-java-developers/indigor)
Subclipse (http://subclipse.tigris.org/servlets/ProjectProcess?pageID=p4wYuA)
and the Android ADT plugin (http://developer.android.com/sdk/eclipse-adt.html#installing)

Once they're installed, checkout MythDroid (File -> New -> Project -> SVN -> Checkout project from SVN)

The svn URL is http://mythdroid.googlecode.com/svn and the folder is 'trunk'.

Once it's checked out, connect your device and run MythDroid. You may have to uninstall the old version first since it would have been signed with a release key.

If you leave your device connected whilst MythDroid is running, you can examine the device log in the DDMS perspective. It might help to filter by PID.
In the LogCat view's 'view' menu, you can export selected log entries as text to paste in an email.
