HI All,

I am trying to install MDD on Mythdora 12.23 fresh install. But I get
the following error:

# perl Build.PL
Can't locate Module/Build.pm in @INC (@INC contains: build /usr/local/
lib/perl5/site_perl/5.10.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/local/lib/

BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at build/Build/MDD.pm line 2.
Compilation failed in require at Build.PL line 4.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at Build.PL line 4.

As an FYI:
# perl -v
This is perl, v5.10.0 built for i386-linux-thread-multi

Can anyone lend some assistance on this?

Module::Build isn't installed and needs to be. Your package manager should be able to install it. Otherwise grab it from CPAN.

Great! Thanks!

For all those not in the know, i used "yum install perl-Module-Build.

Also, FYI, I had to copy my config.xml file to /root/.mythtv/ in order
to build successfully.

However, this being said I cannot get access to my myhttv box. The
program on my droid starts fine, I can see everything. But if I want
to watch anything, I get connection refuse at (my mythtv ip):6546.

Am i missing something here? Is this a firewall issue?

Thanks!,

As an added FYI, if i try to play locally on my phone, I get the same
error at (my mythtv ip):16547

Just did some digging (since i am home) and this is not firewall
related. I disabled SELinux and firewall, and still cannot use these
ports either remotely or on the local machine.

Is there a service that should have running?

HI All,

I am working through some background on Mythdora itself. This could
be an issue with Mythtv on Mythdora for those ports.

I will post what comes out of my discussions.

I have a partial fix:

You need to enable network remote control:

Goto Setup->General-> remote page (last page) and check that 'Network
Remote Control Interface' is enabled and the 'Network Remote Control
Port' is set to 6546.

However, I still cannot get streaming playback on the droid itself on
port 16547.

I might be tapped out on this, so any assistance is greatly
appreciated!
