Boxee Box protocol ver. prob.

Hi Erik,

First ... Awesome job!! This is exactly what I need.

After spending 2.5 days trying to get it to work on 4 different
systems I finally stumbled on the message here:

After editing mythstatic.py, everything started working.

Now, here's my question(s):

Your mythstatic.py now has 23056 as the ver. and my server is looking
for 56! This was your original value.

So here's the problem: MythBoxee now works on all my systems EXCEPT
the Boxee Box. How can I change that value if the box downloads the
app at run-time?

There is a thread on Boxee's forum: http://forums.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=22029
outlining an apparent bug in V1.0 where MythTV UPnP connections don't
work. Your app is now a critical component of all MythTV based
households running the Boxee Box. ;-)

So, any suggestions on how to get this working? This is a main use for
the box for me, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Again, great work. I look forward to seeing how this develops.

Hi Scott,

I have failed to keep my website up to date, this is something I need
to fix.

Between versions 0.23.0 and 0.23.1 the protocol version changes to the
five digit 23056 from 56 due to a dev version vs release version
getting out of sync, so the MythTV devs decided to do a switch. If you
are running 0.23.0 you have to manually modify 23056 to 56, since the
protocol is the exact same, it works, normally doing that wouldn't
work.

Look to another email coming out soon from me that will address the
Boxee Box and MythTV issues. ;)
