I accidentally removed some python libraries that were needed to allow
MythBoxee to work when I released 0.79 and signed it.

I have fixed this and I released 0.80 signed sealed and hopefully good
to go. I am still without my Box.

I get the same result as with 0.79 on my Boxee box - Test and Save
Settings does nothing. I hope I removed 0.79 correctly - I had it as a
favorite, selected remove, then went back to the repository.

Thanks so much for your work on this!

Can you send me the log files from your boxee box please. If you can
can you please restart your box so it clears everything out and then
launch the app, afterwards download the log files and send them to me
please.

How do we go about getting the log files from the Box?
I suspect I might need to do that when I get a chance to test again as well.

Thanks.

There's a support webgui on the device that should package up any
logs, however if someone could test just on a computer that should be
sufficient in making sure the app works again after I accidentally
removed a library it needed.

The other way is to turn on the syslog feature on the box.

Sorry but I'm geographically separated from my box and my mythtv for a
week so I won't be able to test anything.

I was wrong. I must have still been running 0.79. After rebooting, it
re-loaded from the repository. XML streaming did not work but it works
like a charm with smb. A glitch or two: To switch from XML to smb I
had to exit the app. And go back in to get back to the settings. Once
set for smb I made an error in the share name. I fixed it in settings,
but the new setting didn't affect the path used to get to videos until
I eited and went back in.

Thanks again, and sorry for the false alarm.

Hi - some results from me. I've added your repository to my dlink
boxee box and the app downloads fine. When I try to connect to my
mythtv front end though I don't get very far. I'm invited to enter my
setup pin and I've tried with and without doing that. Either way, the
app displays that it is trying to autodiscover and never comes back.
running via my windows boxee, it does come back and I can enter the
details to my front end and connect.

I'm running mythbuntu as the myth front end version release-0.23-fixes
(26437) and I've tried conencting both with the protocol version
changed in MythStatic.py and without.

Any thoughts or things you'd like me to try?

All the best

Dave

I am having a similar issue switching back to SMB (but less luck)... I chose XML initially with no luck so went ahead and set up my SMB share.  Now I never see the option to select SMB (it just shows "Stream Method").  I've tried rebooting and removing/adding the repository but no luck.  Is there anyways to clear config data so it thinks I'm running the app for the first time?

I also have it running on another Ubuntu server (Boxee version 0.9.22.13692M) and it works great.

MythTV Version   : 26437
Network Protocol : 23056
Library API      : 0.23.1.201000710-1

Great app!!  thanks.

How long did it take for it to stop saying loading? Is this on the
Boxee Box by Dlink?

Mine just worked with the latest version. There was very little, if
any, sitting at the Loading screen.
And yes, on the Box.
Previous versions for me always sat at Loading forever.

At first i was using the wrong version of MythTV, but now i am using
the right version and it still doesn't work. I have changed the
protocol version to 56 and it just sits at the loading screen. When i
plug in the credentials in the /etc/mythtv/mysql.txt into the app it
says connected to backend. I know there is something small that i am
missing, is there any logs that i can check to help point me in the
right direction?

When this works i will be switching from Win7 MCE with Xbox360's to
Boxee Box.

Any help appreciated.
Ryan
