Hi,

I successfully have Mythboxee running on Mac OSX 10.6. Trying to repeat that on my AppleTV (v1).

I have re-installed the app, deleted the config files from the /Library/Application Support/BOXEE/userdata/apps/com.erikkristensen.mythboxee0, plus both the cache files.

When I initially start the app, the 'LOADING' screen does not go away. I can manually force my way into the settings pane and set my IP address, etc (same as I have it under snow leopard, so I know the backend is working and I can stream).

Attached is the boxee.log. Here is a snippet from the end:

It'd be really helpful to get the full file.

Thanks,

Hi again Erik,

Any ideas on this? Something I can do on my end?

Are you running MythBoxee on any other system with your MythTV backend
or just on your Apple TV?

Thanks.

-Erik

Hi Erk,

I have it running on a MacBook Pro (snow leopard) with no issues. I can get all the program info and watch shows no problem under OSX. I also have a stand alone frontend working fine on it as well. Running .23.1 Myth (LinHes distribution, 6.03.00).

AppleTV Boxee: 0.9.22.13692 (Aug 22, 2010 - lastest release for AppleTV). AppleTV version 3.0.2.

No worries on the delay. Thanks for responding!

Hi again,

I got this working.  I ran across an article (here) that talks about how to put the MacOSX version of Boxee on AppleTV.  I was using the custom AppleTV version previously with little success.  My OSX Boxee build was Oct 31, and the AppleTV version was Aug 22 (version numbers listed in earlier post).

In my case, I had MythBoxee working fine on a MacBook pro (snow leopard) with the latest Boxee and the Mythboxee nightly build.  Here is a rough account of the steps:

1.  SSH to AppleTV, mount the appletv drive as read/write
2.  Copy the Boxee.app from Mac OSX to AppleTV (using Cyberduck, Fugu, etc).  Make sure it goes in /Applications, not ~/Applications.
3.  Delete the Boxee settings file on AppleTV (covered here)
4.  Install and setup Mythboxee per normal.

The above assumes that you have an AppleTV opened up using the ATV patchstick with SSH installed.  The article referenced above contains a couple links that you need to make all the steps a reality.

Let me know if anyone has any questions, and I will try to help.

Sean...
