Dear Friends,

We at MHT are currently neck deep in the process of finalising our
programmes and itineraries for the coming season, which begins in about
half a months time from now (give or take a few days, depending on
when the snow starts to melt on the high passes).

There are some interesting, "off- the- beaten- path" kind of
programmes on offer this year. For instance a seldom trekked route
from Manali to the remote tribal 'Gaddi - sheepherders' village of
Bada-Bhangal over the lofty Kalihani and Thamsar passes. This
wonderful trek in the upper kullu valley area of the Indian state of
Himachal Pradesh goes through an area of pristine Himalayan
wilderness, where you come across almost no human habitation for
nearly six days.

There are also some other intresting treks on the cards in the coming
season, such as the little known but captivatingly beautiful trek from
the Miyar Valley in Lahaul District, into Pangi, over the spectacular
'Pimu - La' pass, again in Himachal.......or the
challenging...adrenalin laced 'KalindiKhal' glacier trek in
Uttranchal, where one is surrounded by many magnificient 6000 mt.
plus Himalayan peaks, so close that you feel that you can touch them
if you reach out.

We are also, for the first time, introducing eco - friendly ' Horse
safaris' and 'riding trails' around Manali this year and this is bound
to be ' a one of a kind experience'...as nothing compares to
exploring these beautiful mountains on horseback. Riding with the wind
caressing your face; Bonding with our sturdy... friendly...good
looking horses and tasting the absolute freedom and bliss that can be
found only in the Himalaya.

In addition, exiting Nature Walks and Deep Wilderness treks inside the
magnificient 'Great Himalayan National Park' are also on the anvil
this year.
