Mystara World Map

I have recently started to resurrect our Mystara Campaign and just
found all the wonderful online community. While looking over all the
Mystara world maps I noticed that it resembles the Earth Plate
Tectonics map from the late Jurrasic period.

Has this been discussed before? Had many others observed this
similarity as well?

AFAIK Mystara was created using Earth as the model for the landmasses.
