hello all,

There has been some discussion about how to deal with Elves in Mystara, given the differences in 4e. Well, the newest issue of Dragon magazine has the debut of a recurring feature called "Character Concepts" and one of the ones they are starting with is the "warrior-mage" or "fighter-magicuser". It seems to me that using this, one could create something very similar to the old "elf as class" elf from Mystara.

Most likely, in line with other discussions of elf vs. eladrin, one would choose to make these warrior-mages eladrin; but I suppose that could be a local DM's call.

Just thought I would throw this out there, in case people on the list haven't been following Dragon/Dungeon now that it's part of DnDInsider and all. If there is interest, I can try to post something for the group; but right now DnDInsider is free so it's easy for anyone to get access to the material I'm referring to.

Definitely keep mentioning items like this -- This
article seems geared towards describing a "standard"
Mystaran elf. I am looking forward to seeing the final
version of that article with errata incorporated.

Also, I saw the bad news that Necromancer Games
won't be signing up with the GSL, which means that
they may not be putting out their promised supplements
to fill the gaps in the race, class, and monster lineups
left by the original 4E core books. I was REALLY
looking forward to those books....
