Iam new at using the Arduino Micro R3 and have problems programming / uploading a sketch or using a sketch with serial communications.
I read many postings but none solved my problem.
(using Windows 7 64 - Arduino application 1.0.5)
Also tried to update driver on the windows Device Manager > Other devices > Arduino Micro, and browse to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino\drivers
Select "Next"
The windows shows:
"Windows was unable to install your Arduino Micro"
"Windows could not find driver software for your device"
The Arduino Micro requires installation of two drivers. It has two different USB drivers, one for the bootloader and the other for the sketch core software. The bootloader driver will show up for a few seconds and disappear. But then the sketch USB driver should show up afterwards. Either you have a bad sketch loaded or the sketch USB driver did not install properly.
If not then since the bootloader driver is still loading you can try and upload a new sketch from the IDE. From the IDE make sure you are selecting the Arduino Micro board type. Then select the example Blink sketch and upload. When the sketch compile is done you need to hit the reset button on the Micro and that should initiate the upload. It may be a little tricky on the timing when to hit that reset button, but just keep trying and hopefully you get it at the right time. This should put back on the proper sketch USB core driver and allow you to install it under Windows.
Using the reset step described above, I can load the sketch ok, but the serial still fails (Device manager shows: Other devices > Arduino Micro, expected serial COM in COM & LPT section).
Also tried to load the blink sketch using board type Leonardo, but the same serial problem, in this case the Device manager shows: Other devices > Arduino Leonardo (as expected).
Hello, sorry to bother you all, and I feel like I should know this by now with all the research I've done, but I can't seen to see whats true and false information with regarding this HWID ban and how to get around it.
I've been doing some research into HWID banned, and how to get around them, etc. And I've got a question, from what I've read the best way is to buy new parts/whole new PC for a permarent way of getting around the HWID ban. I've also read that, say for instants I got banned on my main account, with serveral games I play, ranging from CSGO - MMOs at all which have different anti-cheat programs.
regarding what parts, this is not possible to answere as it varies from game to game and degree of ac, for the most part the top end ac ban, hdd/ssd, cpu, gpu, motherboard, sometimes they allso ban ram(but not allways), ive even heard ppl claim they had their psu hwid banned but again there is really no 100% way of knowing.
Now for whatever reason and only the ac company will know this, some games only ban your hdd/ssd and thus you can get around a hwid ban by changing to raid0 and reinstalling windows, what games this work iam not sure as it seems to change over time aswell.
When dayz first got BE to step up the fight againts cheaters they would hwid ban on the first ban you got. They would at that point ban mobo, cpu, gpu, hdd, but after the game was released (1.0) they no longer hwid ban right away, there is some info that suggest that they allso now only ban hdd/ssd when they hwid ban(they only do hwid in rare cases) so here the raid0 would be enough in theory but again noone really knows 100% other then BE.
With this HWID Banned Steam account, if I completely remove the game from my library, (Not refund it(as I can't with 300+ hours on it)) that way I would not be able to launch that game from my HWID banned account. But say if I just log into the HWID banned Steam Account will that still flag me or will I need to launch the HWID banned game - DayZ?
So, I got banned 2+ months ago. It's curious to mention that I didn't even use any cheats and have never cheated on any online game ever and also didn't do anything else that could get someone banned but that's a different issue.
Anyways, I reinstalled windows after the ban, created a new steam account with a different email several days later, bought a new game key from G2A.com, got to play exactly 14 days and got banned again. Then repeated the same thing and got banned again after 14 days. Kinda frustrating.
