Many students are confused about how to prepare time-table for their
own studies. We will study a real-life case which will help us
understand ourself better.

Student : Can you please help me to get time table for all subjects?

Response from mySSC : There is no ready-made formula of correct time
table. Time table should be prepared depending on your needs and
available time. It very much changes from person to person.

If you want to prepare personal timetable, pl. answer following
questions :

1. What are the subjects that you find difficult (should be given max.
time)?
2. What are the subjects that you find easy (should be given min.
time)?
3. What is your schedule (school and tution timing)?
4. When do you feel fresh to study? (early morning / evening / night)?

Answers to these questions will help both of us to prepare the right
time table for you.

Student : The answers to your questions are given below.

1. Difficult subjects : English/ History /Civics/Geography /Economics.
2. Easy subject : Marathi/Hindhi/Sci I & II /Maths.
3. My school time is morning 7.00am to 1.00pm. & tution time is
4.00pm to 7.30pm
4. Fresh time is in night & when holidy for school that time is in
morning.

Response from mySSC : Thanks. Your inputs will help us figure out the
timetable.

i. Easy subjects : Marathi/Hindi/Sci I & II /Maths.
ii. Free time : Noon 2.00 to 4.00

>>>Revise one language and one of science and one of maths, each for 40 minutes in noon.
For example,

Monday, Wednesday, Friday : Marathi (40 min.), Sc. I (40 min.),
Geometry (40 min.)
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday : Hindi (40 min.) Sc. II (40 min.),
Algeabra (40 min.)

i. Difficult subjects : English/ History /Civics/Geography /Economics
ii. Fresh time in night.

>>>Revise one language and one of (History + Civics / Geography + Economics), each for 40
minutes in night. For example,

Monday, Wednesday, Friday : English (40 min.), History (40 min.),
Civics (40 min.)
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday : English (40 min.) Geography (40 min.),
Economics (40 min.)

Instructions for various subjects :

1. English : There are three types of questions : Questions on
passage, Grammar, Writing
skill. You MUST write at least one of the writing skill questions
every day. Thus, study
of English should cover 1. practice of Questions on passage OR Grammar
AND 2. practice of
writing skill.

2. History and Civics : Refer to the History instructions given in
'Must Read' documents
at mySSC.in. Prepare as many charts / tables / triangles as possible.
Do it yourself to
remember it better.

3. Geography and Economics : Study of Maps is extremely important in
Geography. Compose 4
to 5 lines of description for each map. This will help you remember
map as well as
matter. Prepare as many charts / tables / triangles as possible. Do it
yourself to
remember it better.

Some tips :

Solve 2 papers on Saturday. Once the schools are closed, you should
solve one paper every day.

Every day, set a target for yourself like say completing a chapter or
studying all reactions etc. If you complete the target before 40
minutes, you need not study more. If you cannot complete the target,
you have to do overtime.

You should study in such a way that, starting from January, you should
be able to revise a whole subject in 5 hours. This time should reduce
to 3 hours by end of February.

No studies are scheduled on Saturday and Sunday to have you some free
space. You can complete the backlog if any. If you are following the
schedule you can take complete off on Sunday! You can enjoy previledge
of Sunday holiday at least till January End.

Hope this will help all our students prepare their own time-table.
