Job Title: Sr .Net Consultant

Duration: 12M       

Location: Houston,TX

 

This is a senior developer position performing evaluation of user requests for new or reengineered applications to determine feasibility and compatibility with current systems and architecture standards for intranet/internet applications and back office jobs utilizing Microsoft .Net and Oracle databases. This job will enable you to directly execute and lead others in activities associated with structured software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management life cycle (PMLC) activities.

In this role, you will:

-evaluate user requests for new or reengineered applications to determine feasibility, specifications, compatibility with current systems and architecture standards

-investigate complex business needs, systems and programming problems to recommend and implement technical solutions in accordance with software development life cycle (SDLC) activities

-facilitate business case development, project planning and software specification definition in support of project life cycle (PMLC) activities

-independently, and through coordination of other developers, design, code and test new and enhanced systems and programs from general requirements

-independently investigate and resolve complex systems and programming problems
-recommend design improvements for increased efficiency, stability and scalability
-mentor and train junior staff; may manage a small group of developers
-expected to function independently at a high programming level with responsibility for meeting plans and schedules which may require off-hours support

-perform other duties as assigned or requested

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
• Knowledge of the project life cycle.
• Knowledge and experience with the following technical skills: Oracle PL/SQL (or related MS SQL experience), Microsoft Visual Studio .NET development, ASP.NET, VB.NET, HTML, IIS, JavaScript, N-Tier development concepts, techniques, and methodologies, XML, Web Services, Java (optional), MTS (optional), Mobile app (Android, IOS) (optional)

Expert knowledge of system development and implementation.
