During my recent implementation with the Media Plugin for Xamarin.Forms, I realize that there are some new updates to this Plugin and its dependent Permission plugin that are not documented properly out there!

We need to set up the Plugin.CurrentActivity plugin for Media Plugin to attach itself to the active Activity during the run time. Nuget Package Manager -> install Plugin.CurrentActivity, only into your Android project node.

In this blog post, we used the Media Plugin for Xamarin and Windows to take photos and videos from shared code. Be sure to check out the Xamarin Component Store for additional documentation and samples on the media plugin, or browse the plugin gallery for a complete listing of all Plugins for Xamarin. Want to see how the Media Plugin for Xamarin and Windows is implemented under the hood? All Plugins for Xamarin are 100% open source, including the Media Plugin for Xamarin!

How can we add a button(own) on camera view using this plugin. This button i want to place beside of camera butto present in bottom-center
On Click of that button i want to navigate to photo gallery to pick photos for attachment.
Is that possible??? Please share your view.

The media plugin adds the ability for users to be able to add HTML5 video and audio elements to the editable area. It also adds the item Insert/edit video under the Insert menu as well as a toolbar button.

These settings affect the execution of the media plugin. Namely the ability to disable parts of the media dialog box when inserting/editing media items. In addition, the user may disable the cross-site scripting sanitation filter for video/object elements here.

The media url resolver function takes three arguments: data, a resolve callback and a reject callback. The data argument will be an object with a url property on it. In your custom handler function you can then handle the url in whatever way you want and return the HTML you want to embed by calling the resolve callback and passing it an object with the HTML set on the html property, like this: resolve(html: 'YOUR_HTML').

If you in your handler would like fall back to the default media embed logic you can simple call the resolve callback with an object where the html property is set to an empty string, like this: resolve(html: '').

The following example simply checks if the url contains some special url and returns an iframe if it does. Otherwise it calls the resolve callback with an empty string, falling back to the default media embed logic.

Media Cleaner is a powerful plugin that helps you clean up your WordPress media library by deleting unused media entries and files, as well as fixing broken entries. With an internal trash feature, you can preview and confirm changes before permanently deleting anything. Plus, Media Cleaner uses smart analysis to ensure compatibility with specific plugins and themes.

This plugin is compatible with all media types, including retina and WebP versions. It has been tested on a wide range of WordPress versions, including the latest version with Gutenberg, as well as on various themes with a large community of users. It also supports WooCommerce. For users with more complex plugins for handling website content, the Pro version may be necessary for optimal compatibility. We are constantly working to increase compatibility with other plugins.

Most likely, then, some anti-virus has forgotten it's supposed to allow SlPlugin and/or dullahan_host to run (maybe because it didn't see a response to a dialog asking whether it should allow one of these weird "CEF" helper programs do what they must to make SL media work). You'll need to add these to your anti-virus program's whitelist, the details for doing so will depend on that specific anti-virus program.

(For future: You won't need to reinstall Quicktime anymore, which was indeed commonly needed for media-related problems a while back. Unless a developer knows differently, I doubt there's any corner of any working viewer that can still use it for anything now.)

I don't see how this is related to the AV when the error is about media. So I was thinking it's something about how the inworld browser is checked off or not (tried different things), media is on or off (tried all or none).

Yeah, that's probably the first media failure, unable to load the splash screen because it wasn't able to launch SLPlugin.exe for some reason. Maybe the log file has some other hints about why llprocess.cpp can't get that SLPlugin executable to launch.

It seems unlikely it would try to load that splash screen over and over with each teleport, so there's probably other media things it tries to do, which might be a hint of a workaround, but this seems to confirm that the underlying cause is that the SLPlugin program won't run. That's consistent with it being blocked by antivirus but I'm sure there could be other reasons.
