Folks

do you know how to reset the transport number  range.

I googled and  found SE38- RSWBO301 and my collegue ( old man) told to update the table with the following SQL

update e070l set trkorr = 'APDK940000';

ANY other way to do it.

Also .. if you know what is meant by interval range let me know too....

throw in a nugget to your peers and see if you can get some other answer

Thanks
ila

Ila,

Do you mind if I ask you why you want to do change transport number range? I just spoke to one of my colleague, he said he hasn't done this before but It only makes sense if you have multiple projects going on in Dev system and you use project based transports. You will have to set the transport range..after discussing it with functional people and development team but he wouldn't recommend it because it is a big headache.

I am not sure if SE38 and running RSWBO301 is going to work or not. Please let me know if you have any questions on this.

Thanks

The main reason to do number range is to reset the change request number. In our case what exactly happened is -

We did system migration from DB2 to Oracle. The Transport change request which was generated was already present in the system. i.e the same change request number is imported in 2002- 2003. So while transporting new change request it will show import but in actual it will neot import, when you will see log there is nothing, so we need to delete manually import logs and import from buffer and then tranport he same change request. This time it will transport.

To avoid this we set the number range.

Thank you

Hi,

Is anybody working on SAP CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) and SAP BCM (Business Communication Management) with Basis? I hear they are complimentary to Basis and becoming in high demand. Any idea on these technologies?

Regards,
Shival
