Job Description:

Persons in this position are responsible for helping to provide continued and uninterrupted access to Co.’s corporate data.  This includes maintaining system availability and data security at all times. They are also responsible for making sure that our corporate systems and databases meet or exceed any service level metrics that are in place.

 

This position requires the technical ability and knowledge to implement, understand, support and articulate to non-technical professionals’ new and upcoming technologies while supporting and maintaining our existing core applications and infrastructure.  Primarily in the SAP area that includes (ERP, BI, CRM, HCM, Solution Manger and XI)

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

• Plan and manage applications, database or operating system upgrades  and their related activities to ensure that service levels, objectives and schedules are met.
• Provide SAP Application, Database and Operating system support as defined by the Technical Applications and Infrastructure Manager and managed to the service level agreements we have in place with the businesses.
• Working with the security organization conduct operating system and database level security reviews, evaluations, and risk assessments, and develop recommendations for improvements where appropriate.
• Work with data center operations to design and implement controls for new technologies, systems and their supporting infrastructure to ensure are systems are available and recoverable in accordance with our service level agreements.
• Work with the Technical Applications and Infrastructure Manager to train and develop the skills of the Systems and Applications Architects and Administrators.
• Work with the Technical Applications and Infrastructure Manager to ensure our systems are available and secure on a 7X24 hour basis.
• Design, implement, and monitor all related applications, operating systems processes, and procedures that make up our core infrastructure.

Required Experience:

 

 

• At least 3 years of enterprise strength operating systems experience.
• At least 2 years SAP Basis, and operating system support in both UNIX and Windows environments.
• At least 2 years basis support in the SAP R/3 environment incl. transport management, patching and version upgrades.
• Demonstrated experience implementing and migrating large scale SAP enterprise wide applications and databases to new platforms and versions.
• Demonstrated knowledge of network infrastructures including protocols and security.
