Hello everyone,

We have an emergency situation in my office and need some help. Please share your suggestions for our current situation.

Our production system is shit down from network and network is disconnected between servers that is db and 3 app servers. Once our network is back on, only the VMs (servers) might need to be restored to last backup. Datafiles in SAN are un affected and will not be restored. But db server files like sql is log files, temp db will be restored from last backup. Same with application servers. It will be restored from yesterday backup. What will be the impact that our datafiles are current and application files and log files are restored from old vm backup? Kindly help me with impact analysis. I really appreciate all your suggestions. Also pls reply ASAP.

Thanks

If data files are current, I don't see any issues. Log files are pretty much temporary records anyway. One question, how is it that data files are current but log files are backed up old. No live backup of log files, at the time of shut down?
