साईं सत्चरित्र के अध्याय २५ में, किसके लिए बाबा ने शमा को ये शब्द, वापस लिखने के लिए कहा “मुझे ऐसा प्रतीत होता है कि सेठ पागल हो गया है । उसे लिख दो कि उसके घर किसी वस्तु का अभाव नहीं है । इसलिये उसे आधी रोटी में ही सन्तोष कर लाखों के चक्कर से दूर ही रहना चाहिये ।"
