NCYSA Rec Roadshow this Saturday in Mebane!! Free Coaching Clinic and games for Kids!!

It is time to start getting warmed up for soccer!! As we are working towards getting our recreation soccer program kicked-off, NCYSA's Rec Roadshow is coming to Mebane this Saturday to get everyone in the mood for Soccer!  The Rec Roadshow is made up of two parts - a morning session for coaches and team staff, and an afternoon session for the kids.

The Morning Session is open to any coaches, team staff or even just interested parents and will start at 10:00 on the Blue Baseball fields and will cover:

10:00-11:30 - How to Run a Training Session

11:30 - 12:00 - How to do a Team Meeting

In the afternoon, "Street Soccer" will be going on from 1:00 until 3:00 on the Grey Baseball field. This is open to all players ages U6-U12 (rec, travel, whatever!!) Street soccer will be relatively short, small sided games that focus on letting the kids play and very little adult interference. Teams will be formed and mixed based on attendance and ages throughout the afternoon. It will be fast paced and fun! Come for a little, come for a lot!!

Please consider taking advantage of this FREE soccer opportunity being provided by the State Staff! You can come out for as much or as little of the event as you want.

Hello parents,

A quick reminder of the FREE NCYSA soccer roadshow that is going to be held THIS SATURDAY at the Mebane Baseball Complex!  See the message below for more information.

Coaches:  PLEASE attend the morning sessions on how to run a training session and how to run a parent meeting!  These two topics are the ones that coaches struggle with the most often and there will be a lot of great information from the NCYSA state coaching staff. These two hours WILL make a difference in your coaching and team interaction this year!

Parents:  the afternoon is all about playing!  Please bring your kids out to take part in the street soccer environment. Minimal coaching, maximum games!

Hi All,

The rainy weather is forcing some changes to this weekend's NCYSA roadshow activities. 

Tomorrow morning's coach sessions on running a training session and conducting a parent meeting are moving indoors to the gym at South Mebane Elementary. For those not familiar, this is on Third Street in Mebane about a half mile north of the baseball and soccer complexes. Start time is still 10AM. 

Tomorrow afternoon's street soccer is TBD based on the weather overnight and field conditions tomorrow. We will send an update on status tomorrow morning so please keep your email handy if you are planning to attend!
