Can't send mails with accounts plugin

First of all many thanks for this great piece of software!

My issue is that I can't send mails via remote imap accounts. I tried
several mail accounts with simple setup (no encryption) but none of
them works. When I click the send button nothing happens, only the
animation on top of of the editor frame shows up. I use Roundcube 5.2.

Which plugin version are you using?

Please post your settings.

Do you have access to the SMTP-Server logs?

Are you sure that used SMTP-Port are open?

Can the SMTP-server be accessed by the same credentials as the IAMP
account?
