Is it is necessary to neutralize boiler water for tds measuring? I have a Myron L 4p Ultrameter.

Ask An Expert:   The Ultrameter 4P has been designed to be simple to use. In order to take a TDS measurement, you simply rinse and fill the cell cup, press the TDS button and get the reading. Make sure your boiler water is within the temperature limits for the instrument (32-160F).

Be sure to rinse the cell cup with clean water after use to prevent buildup of residue. If you keep the instrument clean then you will not need to calibrate as often.
