Hello,

Does anyone have any feedback regarding MyPW status?
When browsing the website, some items are still labelled "coming soon"
since 2006, the Windows logon replacement is Beta software and no
stable release is available, 8 messages (this one will be the 9th)
were posted on this newsgroup in 2007, I cannot find any reference of
MyPW on the web...

I wonder if I should invest some time at all in this technology or
just try and find another open/semi-open two factor solution. Which
would be too bad, since I find the MyPW concept excellent.

Some feedback would help...

Perhaps the lack of feedback is all the feedack we will get (or need).

The Primary purpose for MyPW is to provide a simple authentication
service, which has been in active operation for over two years now.

We do provide examples of how the API can be implemented, but only as
examples.

We have been using MyPW in various PHP interfaces for quite some time
(well over a year) and it has worked well for us. Implementing the
PAM module on our servers (CentOS4, CentOS5) has been on our internal
task list for quite some time. Last time I visited the topic (early
last year?), the PAM module was compatible with Fedora, but didn't
seem to build correctly on CentOS.

I, too, would like to see the MyPW project become more active.
Unfortunately, I haven't had much personal time to contribute yet. :(

I didn't mean to ruffle any feathers, but after over a month of
silence following a question of "Is it dead" made me start to wonder
if I should put any more effort into a myPW project. I have some
proof-of-concept code written and was impressed with how easy it was
to access the XML-RPC service using the sample Perl code.

A few folks around the office have seen some of the "little magic
footballs" we have floating around amongst the programming staff and
are quite anxious to get a chance to "play".

Now that I know that someone is actually listening, I'll shortly start
a new thread to ask a lingering question.
