Are you against health information exchange standards?

Since you propose to just virtualize whatever software is needed to work with proprietary health data formats, it seems that you are against standards.  

Please clarify.

By no means we are against standards.  Standards are important and we fully support them.  

The point is that MyPHRMachines supports standard formats and proprietary formats.  By supporting also proprietary formats, we lower the technical barriers for populating PHRs automatically as far as possible.  

Also note that we encourage the development of transformation services that translate proprietary data to standard-compliant data.  Thanks to our trust model, anyone can contribute such services without compromizing privacy.  We sincerely hope that this trustable infrastructure the massive effort to build for crowd-sourcing data conversion software may contribute to the success of health information exchange standards.
