and as Dan outlined in his E-Mail, we do have much to be thankful for in spite of the economy and all else that is happening in our world.
We had/have the privilege of working on MyPeace to change the direction of consciousness in our world, be it this little hamlet called Salem or beyond.  We made new friends and have the opportunity to make more new friends through MyPeace or otherwise.  As Dan said, Americans still have the right to speak their mind in public, the right to vote, the right to organize, etc.

I learned quite a lot about non-profits in Salem this past year and about the army of volunteers that work in Salem to try and make things better, as I had no idea how much of the work force is activated or run by volunteers.  That fact alone has changed my perception of the world...not sure I approve of the many jobs that are taken by volunteers, but it says something about the spirit of people who will work...very hard in some cases...to make our world better.  I am thankful to know about that spirit because it lies at the heart of change.

And of course, I'm so thankful for turkeys, trimmings, and the fellowship of the season.  Hope you all have a great day!!!
