It would seem that if I was to create a persistence configuration that only exposes a few items, there is no way for IFTTT and other integrations requiring that persistence to operate, is that correct?

I know it's not really "securing" anything more effectively, but I wanted to have my.openhab.org only have a list of a few items and not everything in my house. Would this sufficiently ensure that someone could not make the right request to my.openhab without these details existing in the items list? If so, is there any way to have it wipe the current stored data? I'd like to remove all the items that it discovered when I used my * persistence group grabbing all items.

to my.openHAB
Hi,

This looks like a good idea. We will add an ability to delete items and data from my.openHAB.
my.openHAB only operates with those items which are known to it through persistence.

Best regards,
