Occipital neuralgia is caused by some impingement of or possibly damage to
the occipital nerve.
While we don't treat directly the cranial nerves, the occipital emerges in
the space between C2 and C3.
If I had this patient I think I would start with a C2 treatment.
Also, you might try to follow up the MYK treatment with a mini-massage
particularly below the occipital ridge, and try to loosen the neck
musculature in general.
Regards,
Bob

Thanks everyone and Dr. Mike! Did C2 and a little massage to just her neck, shoulders and scalp. She said she felt much better after all of that but we'll see how she's feeling tomorrow!

Does anyone have any experience treating this? Going to try tonight and
we'll see how it goes, but I just wondered if anyone had worked with this
condition. Thanks!
Susan
