The VS300 car driving simulator system is a high fidelity fully immersive mobile car driving simulator providing the best blend of quality, functionality and cost. Our training curriculum library allows progressive driver training from beginners to experts. The car driving curriculum has been approved by government authorities as a replacement for a portion of the in-car driving course provided by driving schools.
The VS300 car driving simulator with the optional mobility package allows quick installation for use in different locations. As an option, transportation cases are available or a full transportation solution such as a trailer-based mobile laboratory can be provided.

The Virage Simulation car simulator system consists of an open cabin with the driver seat and center console of a compact car, a fully functional simulated instrument and warning light cluster and a wide visual display.
Automatic transmission selection is provided on the Multi-Function Display and an optional center console is available with automatic or manual transmissions, including an optional conversion kit allowing quick and easy changes.
The steering wheel includes a dynamic electrical load unit with hard stops allowing for the simulation of the real force felt on the steering wheel during the turning maneuvers and feedback from the road surface such as holes, road shoulder or even rolling over a sidewalk.
A full set of visual scenes reproducing city, highway, industrial, farmland, countryside, and mountainous environments are included. Winter scenes, rural roads, and various atmospheric conditions are available and can be used within the scenarios to recreate different driving conditions.
A high fidelity stereo sound system provides realistic directional sound cues correlated with road conditions, engine RPM and speed. Additional realism is provided by sounds from other vehicles, including the simulation of the Doppler Effect.
The simulator training scenarios cover basic driver training, evaluation and advanced training under different road, traffic and weather conditions. Lessons and objective evaluations can be performed with an instructor. Scenario design is based on proven pedagogical principles. Special attention is given to shifting and advanced training such as energy-efficient driving and hazard perception.

Simulation training is a part of every course here at Driving Academy. We are one of the few schools in the US that can offer this as part of a CDL training program. Our plan is to continue to open school locations throughout the US, however, as of now all of our CDL schools are located in New Jersey; Jackson Township, Linden, and Wayne, NJ. That being said, we have already had students enroll from all parts of the US including students who have come from Alaska, California, Florida, Hawaii, New York, Texas, and so many more.
We are able to train and test you no matter what state you currently live in. The way it works is that you must get the CDL permit in your own state first. Then, we would train you to pass the CDL road test. That will be followed by us giving you the CDL road test at our third-party testing site. Once you pass, we will send your test results back to your home state.
You will then be able to get your CDL once you go back to your local DMV office. You can tell them that you have passed your road test. They will look it up in their system to see that you are now on THE ROAD TO FREEDOM!
No you do not! We have many types of CDL courses available at Driving Academy. We have CDL half courses available for people who already have their permit. This course will get you ready to pass the CDL road test.
The CDL road test can only be done in English. This means you will have to understand verbal directions in English to take the test. However, the written tests can be done in Spanish or English. Driving Academy has instructors that can speak Spanish and help you get ready for the CDL road test!
When you order the driving simulator software, an installation will be made with all virtual environments, road signs and rules of the road adapted to your country. The language of the virtual instructor will be English. Contact us to order a research simulator licence or ask a question.
You will receive an invoice, and the installation will be uploaded to the server within 2-3 weeks after payment, from where you can download the installation by the links you will receive then via email.
It is then required that your computer can be accessed via TeamViewer to allow Carnetsoft to install the software on your computer AND that the operating system on your simulator computer has been set to English, see the support agreement. If for some reason this is not possible, Carnetsoft cannot do the installation. However, the installation manual can be downloaded here so you can do the installation yourself if you follow all steps..
The regular licence is for 3-channel rendering plus a monitor for the user interface. Three channel rendering means that there are 3 monitors for the rendering channels: one for the forward view, one for the left view and one for the right view. This gives a wide horizontal field of view (5760 x 1080 pixels) .
More recently the term driving simulator is used more often for gaming software. This type of driving simulators, or car simulator, is used just for fun and is not really related to normal car driving. They are more like racing simulators, but even then the driving experience is aimed at increasing the fun factor and not to replicate real car driving, see for example the games Project Cars and Need for Speed.
Real driving also requires the driver to look around because visual scanning is an important part of driving, but since most games use only one monitor, visual scanning is not a serious part of these so called driving simulator games.
The driving simulator software runs on a PC and includes 15 databases (highway, town, village, roundabouts, etc.) and 51 lessons. In addition, there are 13 simulations in different databases where the driver can drive freely through a database.
