We have been in operation for more than 8 years and being the largest eCommunity for Malaysian Indians. Glad to announce we have exceeded 80,000 members in our database. Thanks for all your support and kind words. Hope you find the bulletins are of your interest. We will continually do our bit to assist our society in the very small way we have been doing so far.

From MIBB's Desk - Web Development - Update
We have published regarding the huge support we got on our pursuit to set up a website. A webhosting company has sponsored us a hosting plan at their data center with unlimited bandwidth. Now we have an expert assisting us on setting up a responsive website and its related back end scripts. We are now looking for volunteers who can help to design the front end portion of the website. If you are a designer or a designing student, we need your help. This could be a good platform to experiment your creative ideas. If you are able to lend a hand do email me at svan...@gmail.com

Community Driven Initiative - The Right to Sight (Penang) - Update
The Right to Sight is a community driven activity where an eye examination program will be done for under enrolled Tamil School students.  Many studies worldwide have pointed the vision and academic performances of students are inter-related. 
 
Thus it’s important to ensure that all the students have good vision in order for them to excel well academically. In this program, students whom had been screened to have vision problem will receive a pair of spectacles for free courtesy of the community. Our pilot program in Selangor was successful then we explored Kedah where it has been successfully completed and now we have stepped to Penang, our final state for this program.

We just have completed eye examination for another school, SJKT Ladang Transkrian. We have updated the photos is our picture gallery. 7 students is said to be requiring spectacles out of 74 students screened. 

The dates for the eye examination for the other remaining schools also had been finalized. We are looking for volunteers whom able to assist us on the day. It would be extremely helpful if you can lend a hand. Do contact Mogan at mogans...@gmail.com if you able to help.

2014 Korean Government Scholarship Program in Graduate Programs

Scholarship - European Summer Program (ESP) - Université Catholique de Lille
The European Summer Program is a four-week training course for international students who want to discover Europe and learn how to speak French. It takes place in June and July every year since 2001, in Lille, North of France. 2 programs are available. In the Arts, Social Science and Business program, students follow classes in French and choose an option in the afternoon, taught in English. In the Science and Engineering program, students attend 80-hour of tuition in English in various subjects related to "Sustainable Development and Technologies of the 3rd Millenium". The ESP is an academic program that allows students to transfer credits in their university of origin. 


Université Catholique de Lille offers 2 scholarships to Malaysian students for this program - covering 80% of fees, flight ticket not included.

Requirements:
-Having completed secondary education in your country.
-Being registered as a student in your home country.
-No age limit.

The Gift Her Education Grants 2014
The Gift Her Education Grants are offered by the women-run Gift Her With Life Fund. The 12-year-old Fund is operated by MMICARE Association and supported by Cosmic Rain Holdings Sdn Bhd. For the Year 2014, ten (10) awards, each at RM2000, is being offered  to female students engaged in research projects of a scientific/engineering/medical nature. These will generally be projects undertaken in pursuit of higher academic degrees (e.g. M.Sc. and Ph.D.) at any local government universities. The award may be used to cover  M.Sc / PH.D  registration at the university, supplies, expendable equipment, research related travel or be used as part travel grant for presentation at international conferences. The awards cannot be used to cover salaries, institutional overheads, permanent equipment or expenses related to local conferences.
