The Death Railway Interest Group (DRIG)

Background:

The Death Railway took 100,000 lives of Tamil estate workers from the 250,000 people who died between 1942 to 1945 in Thailand and Burma. 

DRIG is trying:

-To locate the survivors who now live in Malaysia to interview and document their account.

-To educate the people about what had happened and not too allow history to repeat again.

The history is said to have recorded that the people affected were only the white POWs and no mention of Asians which were consist mostly Indians and Indonesians. This is mainly because of ill documentation. The survivors are said to be quite old and DRIG is trying to find them before they perish. DRIG will be organising a function to commemorate the event in September 2016 and would like every concerned Indian to participate.

Technician (Equipment/Process)

Requirements:

-Diploma in Electronic, Electro-mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic or Mechanical Engineering

-Minimum 2 years relevant working experience

-Positive working attitude and willing to work extra hour to support production

-Must be able to work with engineering team and manufacturing to support production

-Good discipline and tardiness

 

Technician (Apprentice)

Background:

-This program is designed for graduates to further enhance their skills and knowledge in Semiconductor industry.

-Candidates will participate in this Apprentice Program for the duration of 8 months. This is not a permanent employment. The Apprentice will be converted to a Permanent employee with Freescale based on performance which will be evaluated throughout the program and subjected to positions availability.

-Candidates will be given a 2 month training at training center and 6 months On-The-Job training in Freescale Semiconductor.

-Apprentices will be given an attractive allowance throughout this program.

Requirements:

-Candidates must possess a Diploma or equivalent qualifications in Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronic, Electro-mechanical Engineering, IT or any relevant discipline.

-Fresh graduates or less than 1 year work experience only need to apply.

-Well verse in English (spoken and written).

-Excellent personality and good communication skill.

-Willing to work on Normal hour/shift.
