I have been away travelling and later tied up with several urgent work that required my urgent attention. I just managed to read more than 1000 emails that came to my inbox since several weeks ago. If you find any of the below writeup is of your interest, kindly respond to it ASAP as it has been sitting in my inbox for quite some time. If any of your writeup is not published below nor received my response kindly resend it to me. I might have missed it, I took the liberty to exclude writeups that have passed the deadline. Thanks.

TheMIND's Micro Entrepreneurs Development Clinic (MEDC) - Business Supervision Workshop

MEDC is conducting a business supervision workshop for those who intent to start a business or having business but facing problems such as:-

a)Financial (bank loan, start-up capital, cash flow, capital raising and etc)

b)Marketing and Sales strategy

c)Develop business proposal, plan and strategies

d)Having business proposal but needs further consultation service and etc.

These programs are led by a group of volunteers from various professions and industries. Seats are limited to 5 participants who are passionate and able to attend the following session until they succeed in their business. This is on a first come and first serve basis. Participant should be free from blacklisted by CiTOS and CCRIS and need to send us a brief idea of your business and your needs so we are better prepared on how to mentor you.

The Business Supervision Workshop will be held per below,

TheMIND of Champions 2013 (MOC’13)

In continuing our efforts to raise the level of education, opportunities and awareness among Malaysian Indians, we are committed to organize for the first time a programme entitled “TheMIND of Champions” This programme aims to showcase the success story of towering Malaysian Indians. 

Date: 14/12/13

Venue: Seri Pacific Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

Time: 1- 4.30 pm

To kick off this programme, we are privileged to appoint Tan Sri Dr Mani Jegathesan and Mr Ramasamy K Veeran as the inaugural speakers of TheMIND of Champions 2013 (MOC’13). Tan Sri Dr Mani Jegathesan holds a unique and powerful combination of being a distinguished doctor/scientist and sportsman. Mr Ramasamy K Veeran, Managing Director of Merchantrade Asia Sdn Bhd, is a young and upcoming champion in the corporate world. Through this programme, we aim to create enlightened youths who will promote excellence within the Indian community so as to contribute significantly to nation building and to develop a caring community to ensure our community’s success under the Malaysian sun. corporate world.

"Second Chance" Program for Young Women - PeopleGiving and Le Meridien Hotel

PeopleGiving (www.peoplegiving.org) in collaboration with Le Meridien Hotel is running "Second Chance" Program. This program is aiming in giving under-previledge young adult a chance to gain skillset training from a 5-star Hotel Management. It is a 6-months on job training program. During this period, meals, accommodation, medical and allowance will be provided. Depending on performance, Candidates will be offered a permanent job in Le Meridien after the program.

 

The qualifying criteria for this program is (female only age 18-25):

-Single Mother

-Orphans

-Low Income group

-Orang Asli
