Hi all,

Just got things up and going and am hoping to be able to help out a
bit here and there with development (I'm a CS Ph.D. student). I'd
like to look through the code to get a feel for Roku development and
this project. From the users forum, it looks like there is a newer
version than what is in the "channel" branch. Is this available to
browse anywhere?

You can browse the code through the github interface: https://github.com/netguy204/roku_media_server

Obviously it'd be way better to browse the source and you can grab that through git (the best way especially if you want to contribute): git://github.com/netguy204/roku_media_server.git

But if you don't want to learn git (which really should be part of any CS curriculum, really) you can just browse the code you've already downloaded when you followed the instructions to set up the server. That zip file is a snapshot of the latest source in the channel branch.

Yeah, I've seen the github code, but the latest update to the channel
branch (and now master) is May 15, while in the users forum you have
put stuff out as recently as July, with mention that you will update
github soon. Does what is in github have all the updates from that
"beta" release in July?

(I've used git for years, no worries there)

Ah, I've been out of the loop for a while.

If you've followed those instructions then you're probably up to date.

Jim, am I assuming correctly? Let me know when you'd like your changes to go into git.
