Hi,
I implemented slave server support if anyone is interested. The slave
server icon appears if the server is configured in the configuration
file. Clicking on that icon switches Roku app to the different server
if the server is available online. From there user can browse and play
items on that server or can navigate back to the original server.
Effectively slave server icon acts as a folder containing all of the
items on another server.

It is useful if you have permanently operating server but you do not
want to place all content on this server and want to look at the
content on another server on occasion. Also you can use it for the
access control - if you dont want your kids to see something you can
shutdown the slave server and allow kids to use main one. When you
want to watch a grownup movie, just bring up the slave server and
navigate to it.

It is tested and appears to work but no assurances are made. The setup
works with the standard client (beta was tested).

Thanks.

Sounds neat. Where's the code?

Do you think it could be generalized to having the client start out by presenting a folder of servers and then let you drill down into the music/video/pictures on each?

I think it can be done although configuration should be replaced with some sort of discovery protocol. Configuration is not really scalable to more than say 3-4 servers. Also at home one would not have more that a few computers to run the servers on. I was actually surprised how few changes this required.
Could you suggest which branch I should clone to check in my changes? What is the main development branch?

The channel branch is the main development branch.
