Hello,
I installed MyMedia and Roku says "Fail to autoconfig server.." and I
had to abort.
I saw the IP address in the log file and it is not 192.168.... so I
changed it in config.ini,
saved it and restarted mymedia.bat. But it is still picking up the
outside IP address, not my internal
network address. Where do I change the IP address? I'm looking
through the mymedia.py
but don't know what I'm looking for.

Please help.

Thanks,
Chi

Hi Chi,

I am not a developer, just another user.

Is there any chance that the old server instance is still running?  I don't know what platform you are on, but I have to send a restart or stop command to the server in order for changes to the config.ini to take effect on my linux box. If you aren't sure, a reboot would confirm it.

Chris

In the config.ini file, set the server_ip address to what you want
(e.g. 192.168.1.1) and add the following line to prevent it from being
overwritten:

auto_server = False

Save and stop/start your server.

Hope this helps,
Ken
