Hi,
Greetings. I have installed MyMedia on my synology DS211 box. The
version of the installer is:

netguy204-roku_media_server-ExtremeAvocado-41-g8de3528 .tar.gz

The version of my Roku Box is:

Roku Version:
Software Version 3.1 Build 1011
Hardware Version model 2100X

I am able to view the photos and listen to the music but when it comes
to video I am unable to view the continuously. There's a constant
chopping while it retrieves the data from the server. Every thing is
runninng on 100 Mbps wifi LAN. I am seeing the following messages on
the MyMedia terminal window:

192.168.1.4:51371 - - [18/Dec/2011 12:41:54] "HTTP/1.1 GET /media" -
206 Partial Content

What's the reason for this and how do I fix it ?

Sincerely

Venkat

The 206 Partial Content message is normal -- that just means that the Roku asked for a small chunk of the video (vs the entire video.) The Roku should keep asking for chunks as it needs them.

We've seen some issues like that with videos encoded in certain ways. Jim has a test video that should play smoothly if everything else is working properly. You can download it here: this one
