Excellent News!

Any rough idea of a timetable for release?

Hi Andrey,
I Have been MLO user for one and a half years, and found this software really help to improve my time management skill and increase my productivity. Now I am very glad to see that the MLO 4.0 will release. But for me, I have purchased MLO in june 2010, and in the past one year, there is not any major new version (3.5.3-3.6.1) releasing, and I saw your policy that I need to pay again if I want to use the new version. would you please provide some solution or discount, thanks for yuor help!

Tried to post to blog but couldn't log in.

Looks interesting. But I do have a couple of questions:
1. When you talk about fine tuning a view, does this mean that you can
select a particular view and then change one particular aspect of it (eg
select a different context) without needing to create a new view. If so,
then that is definitely good.

2. No mention yet of either the 'calendar' facility or the ability to open
multiple windows on the same file with the ability to drag and drop between
them (and just to have them side by side - so that you can make changes in
one view and see the effect immediately in the other). My two highest
priorities.

All registered users will be able to upgrade with significant discount
if purchased a license more than 12 month before MLO v4 release.

1. Yes. You can do it even now by changing context in a view without
creation new view. You can revert or save it with different name if
needed.
2. Yes, the ability to open different windows for the same file and
drag&drop between them is planned.

Re 1. Agree that you can do it now by changing the view properties but it
is a bit cumbersome (and you need to remember how the view works).

What I was looking for was the ability to select a particular parameter (or
parameters) in the view properties and expose this/them in a simple panel so
that you can change these quickly

Re 2: :-)

Er - and a 'calendar' view?

Hi Andrey,

I've started looking into Mac products like OmniFocus and Things but
they both only work with Mac OSx and iPhone, which is fine with me
because I have both, but at work I'm stuck with one ancient Windows XP
thus making OmniFocus and Things a no-go for me.. at least not right
now

Could you please respond yes or no to "are you planning on supporting
Mac OSx?"? Are you aware of the rapid market growth of this OS around
the world? I've recently jumped onto the OSx wagon and I simply love
it... no way I'm going back to windows for my personal stuff.

Thanks,

Excellent. Hope we will get a text editor that can be open separately
(like Evernote) - love to be able to take notes in a small window that
is (optionally) 'always on top' of whatever I'm working on.

I will be happy if new version will support some API for easy creation
tasks from browser, office application (I am sure a lot of people
would be glad create necessary extensions to popular programs)
