How should I be accessing project notes when I am grouping by project?

Hello.
One of you geniuses will have an answer for me, I'm sure. I have multiple projects, each with subtasks. I process them in my Active Todo list, grouped by Project. The problem is that I can't access the notes for the project heading. Nor can I edit the project heading. So, I have to flip to outline mode, find the project, and read/edit the note there.
FYI, the reason I put my notes in the Project heading is because those notes pertain to the entire project.
Suggestions? Workarounds? Should I make a feature request?
