I'm new to MLO and like it a lot but am struggling with the basics it seems. I want to simply assign a context to a task. I've looked it up online and the manual says there are a couple of ways to do this. Neither of these options seems to be available in my MLO (Windows 11). I don't understand why.

Why isn't 'Contexts' appearing in my Properties field and/or why isn't 'Contexts' appearing in my right click menu?

Method 1 — Using the Task Properties Pane
  1. Select the task in the Outline or To‑Do view.

  2. Open the Properties pane (usually on the right).

  3. Find the Contexts field.

  4. Click the field → choose one or more contexts from the list.

  5. The context is immediately applied.

This is the most precise method.

Method 2 — Quick Assign via Right‑Click
  1. Right‑click the task.

  2. Choose Assign Context (or Context depending on version).

  3. Select the context you want.

Fast and reliable when processing many tasks.
