Most desired change: Countdown days left instead of Due Date

Please implement the change to show days left until the due date
instead of the due date or weekday, ASAP!

My second most desired addition is formatting rules. And the ability
to group by computed score!

If you are talking about the desktop version, you can change that in the options/preferences. I can't tell you exactly which section (I am on my linux netbook so have no MLO handy, but somewhere there is a button dateformating, which will popup a dialog where you can exactly specify when to show day names, when days left, when actual dates. It is really quite flexibel, I customized it for myself
