Dragging the mouse on a task on To-Do view now multi-selects tasks rather than moving it

I use the manual ordering in the To-Do view, and used the mouse to drag them around all the time.

Now in MLO 6 I notice that trying to drag a task in the To-Do view no longer works if the task is not selected first. It instead allows you to select multiple tasks with the mouse.

This change has slowed me down terribly. Now I need to remember to click on the task first, and then drag it.

I would respectfully request that this change be reverted, or that at least an option in Settings be introduced to disable it.

Is there a more formal way to place such a request?
