I often want to rapidly enter a task, with some notes, but I've never
found a switch to input parse to the Task Notes field - does anyone
know if there is one - or a way of doing it?
Many thanks,

Yes, you don't need a switch, just put the notes after the caption (on the next line), and make sure "Multiple Task Entry" is not clicked.

Can it be done when multiple task entry *IS* checked?

No.

Personally, I use an Autohotkey script to achieve this.

I don't know...I don't see an obvious switch in the help.

What I did learn that I didn't know before is that "-tofld" (to folder) works on partial names. I already have all of my toplevel folders preceded by a number "2 - Life Maintenance", for example.  "-tofld2" worked brilliantly.

Sorry, not what you asked for :)
