Can tasks be set as recurrent by default?

Is there some way to this, e.g. by creating default task settings which are always applied to a new task? Can't find it anywhere in the program. Likewise would be handy on the mobile versions.

You can create your task with defaults and use it as a template

Thanks, that's definitely quicker than the properties pane, especially with a hotkey.
