Just a little tip.....

When I have a MLO task with an associated Evernote note, I have a share link in the notes field (the one you generate by sharing, so you get an https://.  The evernote:/// doesn't work).  So I setup an automatic formatting condition that anything in the Notes field with a https://www.evernote.com/shard text, gets a special Icon.  I imported an Evernote ico that I found, I've attached it here for folks to use.

This is nice, because as long as I show the Icon column, I can quickly see which tasks have Evernote links.

Here’s another tip: type “file:” in front of the evernote:/// link so it reads “file:evernote:///view/ . . .”

Advantages:

-          Fast clean link to the note

-          Full functionality of Windows Evernote client available when you get there

-          Never have to wait for the browser to load

-          Don’t have to worry about whether Evernote’s web storage has adequate security (hint: if you even think of this question, the security’s inadequate)

Disadvantages:

-          Have to remember to type “file:”

-          Unlike the http link, if you replicate the file:evernote:  link to your mobile device it will not work even if evernote is installed on your mobile device.

Thanks Dwight.  The file: is not working, throwing some strange error.
No matter though, as I'm running MLO in a Parallels VM on a Mac, so don't want it opening up anyhow in Evernote for Windows.  Now if I could find a way to open it on Evernote for Mac, that would be cool.

The advantage to just using the https:// link is I can then quickly see the note on my mobile device via the browser.  Not as seamless as a link opening up a local Evernote client no matter what platform, but doable nonetheless.
