Is there any way to automatically have my desktop MLO synchronize with
MLO Cloud or do I have to manually press the F9 key (or click
'synchronization' under 'tools' menu) to do so? Will it auto synch
when i close out of the desktop version or open it up?

There is no automatic sync built into the current version of MLO, but
fortunately it is fairly easy to schedule using existing Windows
functionality (along with the MLO command-line support). I posted
some detailed instructions here: http://manage-this.com/mylifeorganized-auto-sync/

MLO does not need to be running for this to work, and you can set up
separate sync tasks for each MLO data file (if you have multiple).

This automation works for me. I have set up a scheduled task under
Windows 7 which contains the Visual basic code from your article (with
corrected paths adapted to my windows installation of course). It is
triggered, when I lock my PC, when I unlock it and hourly. Because in
my quick sync there is the cloud sync configured, I am now sure that
when I leave my PC or return to it the Desktop file and cloud file are
always up to date. This works for me because I always lock my computer
(using the shortcut "Windows key + L", for log off) when leaving it.

Bedrudin - Glad to hear it's working for you. I use [WIN] - [L] quite
often throughout the day, whenever I walk away from my PC. I hadn't
thought of triggering scripts when the PC is locked & unlocked. Nice
idea :-)
