FEATURE SUGGESTION: Show appointments above tasks, optionally

Nigel’s request seemed a worthy one. It would be cool if every view had a block that showed my appointments, or at least the next x of them.  It would be impossible to mix them with the tasks, because of sorting, but I’d gladly HAVE THE OPTION to give up ¼ to 1/3 or the screen to showing my upcoming appointments.

 

The Today view does this, but the todo list is far more basic than the views.  Alternatively, make the today view have the same functionality as the views, and that’s perfect.  But why complicate?  Better, rid the Today view, and have the ability to see appointments on the main screen.  We don’t need the graph.

Correction - You don't need the graph! :-) I actually find the graph quite useful, to help me judge quickly whether I have a particularly overloaded day in the next week.

I'd find the Today view much more useful, though, if it added up the Max time for my tasks and the durations of my appointments. I could also do with being able to set a default Max time for new tasks, so I didn't have to edit the times individually.
