recently i discovered that child tabs would be a time-saving feature.
what do people think?

attached is a simple mock-up
the idea is simple. when we click on a main-tab, we will see a view assigned to it (like it is in the current version of MLO).
also below that tab we will see a collection of subtabs. when we click on a subtab we will see another view.
Each main tab has its own collection of subtabs.

I like it! A lot!
I would suggest that perhaps the main group tab (the default for the group) would also become the first tab when a second tab is added to the group. So if my tab starts as Outline, and I want to add another Outline that hides completed, I would have both listed as subtabs to switch between, with something indicating which one is selected.

I also have an idea about the main tab.
I would like it to be something like a Dashboard with viewes. I mean something like a grid (With 4 columns and 4 rows for example), and in each cell the user may have a possibility to add a view or some text instead.
If the user will have a possibility to customise the dashboard layout, that may be fantastic.

Yes I too like the concept.
But any suggestions on how best hotkeys should work?
(In order to maintain momentum, I train myself to do absolutely as much as possible without hands leaving the keyboard...)
