Send calendar invite as ‚Task by email‘

Hi all!

I am using task by email quite frequently to send emails with follow-up actions to my inbox.

Now I assumed I could do the same with my iCloud calendar entries by entering my MLO inbox email address into the participants field of my calendar appointment. 

But nothing arrived in my MLO inbox.

Was someone here in the forum more successful, or would I need a different approach?

Unfortunately the IOS calendar app does not allow to send an appointment per email directly.
