Dear developer team!

Would you mind organizing synchronization with private clouds or organizing synchronization of mobile (Android) version with FTP.

Cause for example I have my own private server where I could organize cloud for synchronizing of my MLO applications from Internet.

I put things in my MLO outline that I wouldn't want Amazon (the sync server provider) to have access to, so I have to stick with WiFi sync.

What do you have that you want to hide from the NSA?
If you have to hide it, you shouldn't be doing it.

Joking!  As if the US NSA and "Surveillance State" are trustworthy... Not!
Like you, I just assume that Amazon, Google, Dropbox, Skydrive all have "backdoors" where they will turn over your data, without a warrant, and without your knowledge, to any US government organization that asks, for any reason, and at any time.

Right now, I assume that MLO's cloud sync is similarly compromised, and that NSA, FBI, CIA, Mossad, MI6, etc., have only but to ask, and it will be given.
Based on past history, the masters they serve may or may not have lawful intentions in the public interest when accessing people's private data.

Having an FTP sync to a private, encrypted-with-no-back-doors data storage option is an appealing feature.

Don't think my activities would be very interesting to the security services (unless Russian security want to arrest me at gunpoint for past Greenpeace support activities - Oops, that's given it away!). I'm more concerned about private hackers finding out enough about me to be able to commit identity theft, opening accounts and affecting my credit rating, etc.

Me too. I for one will not buy the pro version or upgrade my desktop version until I can ftp or use my own cloud. I have my own ftp and cloud for that very reason. I use the ftp desktop to desktop. I see no reason to trust others or pay for something I already have. Not only that have yet another cloud I have to keep track of.

Hi,. Tony. I just wanted to make sure that you recognize that the
discussion you are replying to was more than two years ago...

FTP is not really feasible for transferring MLO profiles between Windows
and Android because the database management systems do not structure the
data the same way. However, if your Windows and Android systems are
reachable by WiFi on the same IP subnet then you can use WiFi synch.

You can use FTP if you like to transfer profiles between two different
Windows systems but if you do that it's just a transfer not synch, so
if you have made changes on both sides, one or the other will be lost.
